I have seen a documentary on this building some time ago so I decided to visit it during a job trip in Copenhagen. The building is located in newly developed area not far from the metro and the train station but also with a nice view of a lake and a humid area. The most interesting characteristic of the building is that the majority of the flats has an independent access from the road or from common external stairs and ramps. The goal of this type of solution was to encourage people to meet each other but I did not find any indication that this is happening in reality. My impression was that the quality of the building was not top quality, I do not if this is reflected in the value of the flats. In any case is an interesting building that generates lot of questions in my mind on which is the best way to encourage neighbors to share emotions and to help each other’s.

Place is super nice to go to with your small kids. Terrace is really good and the restaurant seems nice. Liked the beach loungers and the fact it was a warm, sunny day made it more nicer. Loved the rain forest.
On the other hand, place is rather small. It takes less than an hour to see everything. Hard to impress after Singaporean and Japanese Aqua parks, still nice for families.

Super friendly staff!! Very proactive and helpful to show me around the place, presenting to me the collection of fish with rich knowledge and enthusiasm. Thank you all very much! Lovely aquarium with diverse collection, spacious and well designed. Kids would love it here, and even as an adult I truly enjoyed my time. Time spent ~ 3 hrs.

Excellent aquarium with great exhibits, both interactive and educational. Staff (Isabella) are very good with kids, especially encouraging them to engage with touch pools.
Facilities all good - simple food/snacks, cloakroom and lockers, clean toilets.
Easy to reach from city centre via Metro, then a short walk.
Highly recommended and would go again.

Acquario di Danimarca

Every time I step inside the Black Diamond, I immediately feel a sense of calmness and tranquility. It almost makes me feel like going back to studying 😅 This is more than a library though: it's a masterpiece of architectural design, it hosts a few exhibits in the lower floor, small shop, and a bar area with food and drinks. The reading rooms (both in the "old" and "new" library) offer quite a lot of seats. What is also worth checking out is the view from the 6th floor and the garden in the backyard. Besides its main purpose as a library, I would also point this out as a cool spot to visit in Copenhagen. When weather is nice, it also offers nice views by the canal.

A great place to reward yourself after you have completed your 10000 steps. The cafe is a bit pricey, but what the heck? You've earned it after all those steps

Great library with stunning architecture and a great view of the water. You can have a snack at the Cafe and enjoy it on the water, shop in the small store in the front, go downstairs to an exhibit, or study and read in the beautiful reading rooms. A great place to stop by and enjoy the view of the water or relax.

Biblioteca reale

It is set in the heart of the city on vast grounds, which makes it a good public space, for the locals occasionally. The castle is a beautiful Danish Renaissance architecture, but is not the grandest in it's size, yet it has a rich collection of treasures from history. It was a fantasy to see all the various clocks of the time, orchestra, wardrobes, glass room, porcelain room, beautiful pieces carved with amber and ivory, wine from the century, weapons, the crown, etc.. For tourists who love history, should visit the Rosenborg castle, especially when it's so easy to reach.

Small yet beautiful and historic castle in Copenhagen. Set in a spacious, green park with tree-lined pathways and a massive rose garden. The moat is filled with giant carp. So many you can pet them.
The castle entrance is protected by armed soldiers so don’t do anything stupid.😎
Nice place to get away from the busy shopping area which is only blocks away.
Has good washroom facilities.
Really nice place to walk around and stop to smell the roses and check out the old statues from Denmark’s history.

I wish I had known in advance what was in the basement. I would have organized my time differently and spent half of it there! Not that the rest of the castle is not worth the visit, but the regalia and the treasures are among the most beautiful items I've ever seen and no picture will ever do them justice. I'd go back just for the sake of admiring the emerald set again.

Castello di Rosenborg

Beautiful stone- and brickwork, not something you would see in a modern church. Very unique story of how it's almost exclusively thought and designed by the "Klint" family, over a few generations. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a serene and awesome church. Simplicity and purity, sunlight patterning the yellow bricks. Craftsmens' chairs of string and wood. Take some time to sit here in silence and reflect on life.

One of the most beautiful churches in the world. The brick structure and the details are insane. It’s definitely worth it to give it a go and visit this stunning place!

Chiesa di Grundtvig

It was my first time in Christiania, I loved the vibe. All the people seemed super nice as well. I also bought a pair of moonstone earrings that were self made by a Girl living in Christiania, called Marianne. I love them, they look super cute! And I bought a Hoodie, which also feels like a nice quality. I'm happy about my visit. Christiania is such a beautiful little place. I'd love to come back again some time in the future.

Worth a visit. It's like life after Russians drop their nukes. We were there during a police raid which added to the excitement. Definitely worth a short bus ride to. It's like a hippie commune mixed with an episode of cops. Google the area it's an interesting place with a great story. I'm definitely not doing it justice.

A unique part of Copenhagen with a fascinating history. I would highly recommend taking a free walking tour to get more context on this place. Be mindful and respectful of the residents and don’t take photos where you’re asked not to.

Christiania

Loveliest park (been there in May). Graves are  sort of hidden in between the bushes and everything is so peaceful and comes together naturally

Good for a walk, but as it is located in middle of everywhere, crowds can be expected.

Absolutely stunning space, beautiful trees, flowers, everything is so well curated and cared for.  A must hit while in Copenhagen.

Fantastic place to go and enjoy the underrated art form that is Opera. The in-house restaurant is quite nice and worth a visit if you're worried about time between dinner and the show. Great view from most seats and excellent sound.

Great space, great operas, great voices. If love opera then a visit is essential. If you don't know whether you do go and find out. Love this place. Jamie 🍍

An amazing opera house near the center of Copenhagen. Well worth a visit especially if there is a decent opera on. The only negative - Embarrassingly few toilet facilities for women, quite incredible for such a modern building.

Copenaghen Opera House

Beautiful gardens in Copenhagen city center rides for small children and adults. Restaurants, fast food, candy shops and gift stores. Seasonal decorations for Easter, Christmas and Halloween. You can also bring your own lunch and beverages. This is a must see place for locals and tourists. Also there is a concert hall here and theater.

I brought a sibling here, and they loved it. I enjoyed it myself here as well. It's a very beautiful amusement park and I loved how it was connected to the food hall which has a variety of great food options. The staff were really kind and I believe it's safe to say that this is a must visit for everyone especially families. It's also very nicely located literally being in front of Copenhagen Central Station. I will definitely come back!

Love this place. I came here a couple of years ago in my own and really liked the atmosphere, but I didn't go on any rides. This time I came with my wife, and we both loved it. Lots of restaurants, rides and amusements. There are rides that are great for adults and kids. I recommend staying for the light show at the end or the fireworks on Saturday... although i see the fireworks from outside and they were amazing.

Giardini di Tivoli

An old star-shaped fortress, great place for a walk - very nice natural views, not so crowded. Entrance is free.
From the entrance to the Kastellet (bridge) you can enjoy beautiful views of the Anglican church.
Must-visit place if you are going to the harbor or to Mermaid statue (it's very close).

The lot less famous, but much less disappointing is the Kastellet (comparing to the little mermaid statue)
Just a small walk from the city centre long the river/ or though the street.
Must see if you are visiting the little mermaid statue.
The Kastellet is a beautiful fortress with information boards. Free to visit.

Came across Kastellet by accident, great place plenty of History and guards present.
The day we went it was a Remembrance day with dignitaries present , was nice to watch.
Well worth a visit, and nice wooden bridge to get into it.

Kastellet

Copenhagen is a lovely city and no stay is complete without seeing the little mermaid. I was surprised by its location and size. I stayed the city centre and hailed a taxi to the site since it is a 40 minute walk. I walked back along the waterside and visited Nyhavn which was delightful and saw the cathedral. I would highly recommend.

Not much to say about it, it looks nice though, but honestly not that exciting. It is good that there is a little story behind the statue, that gives it a bit more background information. Nevertheless, it is worth walking there when in Copenhagen. The walk is nice, there are many people and it is next to the water. It's part of the whole Copenhagen experience

Nice statue in a nice spot. Gets quite busy when one of the hop-on hop-off tourist buses pulls up nearby. Views across the water to the combined power station / hiking hill / artificial ski slope.

La sirenetta

There's a good natural history museum suitable for kids primary school age. Also has aquarium and terrarium.
The exhibition of modern art on the upper floor is pretty weird.

Very cool. With lots of history. Was under construction and closed during COVID but is now open and has some great exhibits. The aquarium section was amazing and the animals are well-treated and they have made an effort to give them a cruelty-free environment.

The castle is a bit boring, nothing really interesting/unique can be found in the museum or the art exhibition. But it has an aquarium, which is nice to visit, particularly if you have kids.

Malmö Castle

Nice place, beautiful old harbor houses in nice colors. The restaurants and bars were nice. Almost everyone can find a place, because of the variety of food. Big "like"!

Bustling and lively place. Like a big happy party. The restaurants    are a little more expensive than the ones a bit away from this area but the food was good and the staff welcoming. Recommended a visit.

Very pretty area. It's extremely touristy and bars are overpriced but definitely worth a visit. Lots of cool stuff around it too if you explore the backstreets a bit.

Nyhavn

Beautiful Botanical Garden!
Came here with my sister and wasn't disappointed. lovely collection of plants that are named with information boards.
In the centre of the green house you have the opportunity to climb some beautiful stairs and walk across the top canopy.
Very relaxed visit and not massively busy that it ruins the experience.
Easy to find surrounded by many different tourist attractions.

Eeally nice place to chill out on a sunny day. The garden is well maintained, there is a big variety of plants and there are also small museums inside. You can spend some time next to the lake, walking around or even sit down on the grass. The garden open at 8.30, earlier than most of the attractions of the city of Copenhagen, so you can start your day there. You will not regret it for sure.

Oh, what an amazing places to relax. If you enjoy nature and being surrounded by magnificent plants you need to be here. There are many additional green houses to visit such as Butterfly house or  Tropical one but you need to pay the fee. Loved that garden - go.

Orto botanico di Copenaghen

The official residence of the Danish Royal Family, the Amalienborg Palace is the most sightseeing place to visit in all of Denmark. The architectural design of the palace is Rocco and both the exterior and interior design is grand, gilded and lavish. The collection of several exotic and beautiful royal artifacts should be seen by all. Recently on 16 April Her Majesty's birthday just passed and HM Queen Margrethe II celebrated her 81st  birthday. God Save The Queen. 🇩🇰

The changing of the Royal Guard at Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen happens every day at noon. We happened to discover this tidbit by chance and then decided to start our day in Copenhagen with this. We raced down to central Copenhagen all the way from our Hotel Hilton Copenhagen Airport which is way down south but the efficient metro means it's about a 20 minute ride!

When we got to the Amalienborg Square, the place was abuzz with excitement. A few cops got involved with crowd control and began to usher us beyond a line. At around 1220 or so, the guards showed up. By this point, the crowd had swelled and people had their cameras and phones out.

The changing of the guard itself proved to be one of those relics from the past that still held some sort of ceremonial value but whose appeal and symbolic power were dwindling. This was evident in the reactions most people seemed to have to the activity.

For first-timers like us, the experience held greater appeal and we lingered on for a bit after many had left. The near automaton like figures marching and saluting in unison was, if nothing else, a visually elegant activity to behold.

Do give it a look if you have the time. It's also guaranteed to give a couple of great photographs for enthusiasts. Also, it can also serve as a start for a walking tour of the rest of central Copenhagen.

Very nice rococo royal palaces complex which worth visiting together with Frederik's Church nearby and Amalie Garden near the waterfront.
It's a Danish royal residence. Interesting that originally it was built for 4 different noble families and it was bought by the royal family later after the fire in the Christiansborg, the previous royal residence.
Everyday in midday (12 PM) on the square there is Changing of the Guard ceremony. Many tourists come to see it, so need to arrive a bit earlier. Main actions of the ceremony are held near the Christian VII Palace building.

Palazzo di Amalienborg

The staff was really helpful and friendly. The palace reception rooms were the jewel of the 4. I really wanted to see the Royal Stables, but they were closed and I wish I had known that when I bought the combination. The ruins were well done, and for the kids they put in a monsters exhibit that I thought was really well-done.

It’s a pretty neat place to take a quick walk in. We went in the cathedral first, it was absolutely stunning and the guard was able to give us some quick history about it. They also have pictures and posters up to read. The palace itself if cool as well, we didn’t take a tour on the inside but they offers bundles in order to do it all. The Palace is unoccupied at the moment and they also have ruins you can discover. Fun experience overall.

Highly recommend attraction to see in Copenhagen.
The best parts are the royal kitchen and the royal rooms. On the other hand I would avoid the ruins, but the combined ticket makes them worthwhile.

Lovely food, awesome ambiance. I loved the food and the service. Highly recommended. Better reserve before heading to the restaurant

Beautifully kept city hall. Houses the world clock that has a tonne of history to it. Very beautiful building and very well maintained clock.
Just a quick fyi, the canteen smelt amazing, but this is for staff only unfortunately

Beautiful space to watch a theater piece. I was here for the Lazarus show featuring some songs of David Bowie. The scenario was extraordinary,  the danish part of the talking was challenging,  but could understand some and even laugh at it . My Danish is getting better. The songs were sung in English.

The theater is amazing no doubt about it. The Aamann's restaurant however was insanely overpriced. We got 5 small shared dishes at roughly 700 dkk, and the wine list was poorly constructed, there should be a larger selection in the different price brackets especially the lower, I think they had 1 white wine sub 500, we went for a Burgundy at 565 which was unimpressive to say they least. The waiter also had no idea about which wines to pair with, which is understandable given the menu. After our 2 tables had spent close to 15000 dkk in 1 1/2 hours, we were asked to leave, because they needed the tables. Our show started 30 minutes later, and we just stood there waiting with our recently purchased glasses of wine, and in those 30 minutes, the waiters didn't even come and clear the tables, that they so desperately needed.  The food however was pretty good, but portions were very small. I could easily have had the shared plates by myself.

Really nice looking, modern theater. Great acustics and sound. Perfect visibility from any seat.

Royal Danish Playhouse

Oh, this was built for Russian Czar so the horses could pull his carriage to the top. I wanted wheels to ride the ramp down (probably not allowed). The views from the top are extra ordinary. There is a small fee for entrance. It's worth it to help maintain the building. You can also see how the building was constructed many years ago.

The round tower is a quintessential part of the Copenhagen experience, one which I was lucky to experience.

This place is considered ground 0 for Copenhagen, making one feel as if standing in the center of this vibrant city. It has exhibitions going on for most of the year, making it a good place to see the living history of the city.

I loved how well preserved it was and how so much information was provided for visitors. The views of the city skyline and the various sketches of buildings as seen from the tower are worth seeing.

This is a great place to go on the first day out in Copenhagen.

A good climb to see a panoramic view of the city. Don't forget to find the hidden niche from where you can see the drop at the centre of the tower. The Art gallery had an interesting show of Cassandra's sisters.
