Loved it here. Bungalows were spacious and clean with roomy balconies. We were all inclusive and found meals, snacks and drinks to be freely available and great standard.  Staff are fantastic - so helpful!   Some instructions not as clear as could be - e g. How to order omelettes for breakfast and some main meals in restaurant; however all became clear quickly.  I loved the hotel, pools and staff and would go back next week if I could.  The children loved it too.

We booked a deluxe bungalow during our stay and it was the best decision we could make.  The bungalow was huge just for two people as it’s thought more for a family but it was extremely relaxing. We even managed to use our built in BBQ. View from our massive terrace and the hot tub were amazing. Some days we didn’t even bother to go out but chill in our bungalow as we had all that we need. I can’t commend enough the staff, who was so friendly, helpful and polite. They’ve been amazing and definitely made our holidays. We found the bungalow spotlessly clean, being refreshed every day and breakfast and dinner buffet had a wide range of choice with really good food  and fresh ingredients especially the fish in the menu. The village is located in quiet location but one get easily get to the main point of interest, beaches and restaurants. We will be back for sure.

Service at the hotel has been good. Friendly and helpful reception staff, however not after 18:00 when reception closed, and great service in the restaurant. I enjoyed the a la carte lunch and dinner with the all inclusive. It felt more relaxed than the buffet style you would usually have for all inclusive.
The hotel is a little dated and the rooms are basic but huge with lots of space. The balcony area was also large with private sunbeds that were in the sun all day long however you were able to pull them into a shaded terrace if you needed a break from sunbathing.
The location of the hotel is approx 40 min walk from the Marina and further to the town. I found the electric scooter hire to be a great way to get about but taxis were also easy enough to find.

Absolutely stunning beach! 3€ entry but it's so worth it! Probably the best one on the island. Plus there is a lovely restaurant just on top of the cliff which offers great food and drinks and a spectacular view of the ocean. I do suggest arriving early as there were long queues to get in after 4pm.

It was magnificent beach! Though getting there is quite difficult- only by car and the road is 4km long and not asfalt, quite bumpy road. Going in to the are cost 3 euros, only card payment.  We had rent car. In the beach are there is no clothes changing room, I used the bar's toilet. We had our snacks and water with us. You can buy something from the bar/cafeteria. Other restaurant works by online booking.
You should definitely go there. We were on first week of November.

Excellent beach for everything. Swimming, snorkeling and just taking sunbath.
Eating there is other thing. There is 1 restaurant and you need to book a place there forehand. And then there is one bar. That one was without reservation, but might have line to get in.
There is no toilet and no place to change clothes. (There is toilet in the bar, none on the beach)
To get to the beach you need to drive 4 km on a bad road.

Playa de Papagayo

Sandy white beach. Beautiful to walk along in the morning coolness as the sun rises up and starts to heat the sand. Safe for swimming although no lifeguard. Can get very windy at times so if planning to stay bring a wind shield as there is only protection at either end of the beach from the wind using the rock, cliff face.

Gorgeous beach reached on the Papagayo Toll Road for €3. Turn right at the first junction where it is signed. Two carparks to choose from. The right one is a little easier to manoeuvre through. The only facility is a drink seller with a van/or scooter. Gorgeous sandy beach, can be quite breezy. There is little shelter, so bring your own but make sure you secure it properly. Water is very clear. A few fish to see snorkelling and some rocks at the right end. The right side is more for everyone, where I think the further left it gets more popular with nudistas. Chilled out spot and well worth a visit. A favourite on the island.

You have to pay 3€ to enter and drive through unpaved road for a while, but the beach is great and the water was totally clear; you could see the sea floor while floating 2 or 3 meters above it.

Get some swimming/driving glasses and enjoy the school of fishes by swimming like 30m away from the shore.

Playa Mujeres

We have reached the south of the island. I recommend that you stay at least one night in one of the many B&Bs in the area. A stop not to be missed is Playa de Papagayo but - if you have more time - there are other fabulous beaches not to be missed such as Playa Mujeres!
