First time hearing this kind of music, and I liked it very much. A relaxing but intense experience, this music full of soul is something you should not miss when visiting Porto.
Best accompanied with a glass of wine to make the experience even more pleasant.
I fully recommend the trio of musicians that play in this place.

Gréât music, and atmosphere.

The staff had trouble taking my order. Acted as if they spoke English but didn’t understand what I ordered. I tried French and German and didn’t get anywhere.

My meal never arrived. I was charged for some appetizers - some I ordered, some I didn’t order, including some « special cheese ».

Eventually they corrected the bill to just the appetizers I ordered. Left late in the night and hungry and found somewhere else to eat.

The music is great and worth hearing at least once. The audience is mostly retirees who sing along, great fun

Awesome experience! I felt very real and traditional with the guitarists and singer and in an old wine cellar. Can recommend. 15€ p.p. for an hour including explanations about the art and a glass of port wine.

A Casa do Fado - Ribeira

I personally got deeply surprised by this fantastic historical place. The unbelievably beautiful architecture of this church will absolutely make you surprised. Porto is very beautiful city. Some special structures like this one boost the beauty of this amazing city. Give it a try!

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to get in the church, but we’ll make sure we do it next time. Outside, the Cathedral looks impressive and it sits on the very top of the hill, so the views are just fantastic. From there you can go down to the river following those charming narrow streets.

A fantastic experience at Porto Cathedral! I visited whilst on a break in Porto and the experience was fascinating. The building is currently undergoing some renovations but you'll be able to capture some incredible shots and the views from the tower are breathtaking 😍. Worth a visit ❤️

Cattedrale di Porto

Easy to visit, included in (some?) Yellow bus tour tickets and so an obvious choice for most tourists in Porto. Not my favourite wine cellar in gaia but honestly it's right by the bridge so you will almost certainly pass by and may as well go in. Professional and nicely done tour with a rather average "tasting" at the end. The wines you get depend on the ticket you buy, and the tasting itself is more like sit here drink this then go to our shop. That said the shop seemed reasonably priced so if you like the port you can get so.e there and then.

A tourist trap. Instead of calling it a wince experience, the apt name would be a walk through the wine barrels. They tour guide seemed in a hurry and felt like an advertisement without any explanation. Though there are many points to stop, read and observe in the wince cellar, yet you can't stop and read because one must stay with the group. Better to do wince tasting at some place. Don't get ripped off at this place.

The place and the guide are nice. However, you won't learn much about the Porto wine. It would have been interesting to get more explanations on the harvesting, blending and other processes... Instead of showing the company "catalog", I am sure there are wonderful photos and videos to share.

Caves Cálem

Beautiful church in the middle of Old Town Porto.
We came right at sunset and the front of the church was lit up from the sunset. A beautiful church on the outside. Inside was beautiful as well.

A very old Church with a nice top view of the city. I was very surprised how old the building and the nearby houses were. The church is easily accessed by public transportation. Then I walk around the area and had a francicinia, a traditional portugal dish, which is a bread covered with cheese and potatoes. The dish was good but extremely high in calories.

I loved the architecture of this church and its location. Very charming place and close to everything.

Igreja de Santo Ildefonso

I mean the place itself is very cool (especially the stained glass) although it has accommodated itself to the visitors, which are mostly young women posing. book wise you can buy some of their own editions of famous authors but the selection is not very broad. one can see a broad selection of old books and their authors with their busts on top of the shelves from the stairs, unfortunately these are behind a glass and too far to be explored.

This place is INCREDIBLE! Worth the short wait in line. It reminds me of some enchanted library. The long line goes by pretty quickly. The books are gorgeous!! They have unique covers and are beautifully made. If you like books and reading, this place is heaven!

So much fun and could easily spend hours in here discovering every special spot. Even the underside of the stairs are beautiful in this shop. Line was bonkers long, so do like I did and get the premium pass that includes the little book that you were probably going to buy anyway. I do wish they had more of the cutest tiny book titles in English, but buying them in other languages could be a fun way to learn.

Libreria Lello

A very impressive structure. Important to wander across as the views from each side are wonderful. Pavements narrow and traffic fast sometimes. Well worth going up to the top level as well. The views are magnificent.

Beautiful bridge, we crossed so many but i believe this one mirrors San Francisco bridge as the same firm designed it. Very nice experience... Hope I'm not confusing it with April 25 bridge, also a beautiful sight to behold...

Great place to see the sunset. Obviously a place to get to the south side which I definitely recommend. As coming to Porto would not be complete if you didn't spend time on the south side of the river. Also you can take a lovely bike ride to the coast. So the bridge is very important.

Ponte Dom Luís I

Fantastic! Very beautiful train station. If you are lucky and there weren’t a tour group there, it’s not too crowded. You can’t miss it here.

Some beautiful tile art on the wall but other than that, don't particularly understhe hype around this place. It looks nice and does its jobs but I'm not entirely sure why it's a must see.

Very classic old station in Porto. Beautiful tiled wall art decoration indoors, which defines history behind it. I must say it is among one of the most beautiful train stations I have seen around the world. The station is very well organized and clean.

Sao Bento station

Really worth the 6 euros of entry ticket. Careful they have limited number of visitors by time slot so if you didn't book you may be asked to buy your ticket for later in the day. There are 3 floors of exhibitions and then a long stair bringing to the top where you ll have a 360° view of the city. Ticket counter is at first floor. Toilet available at floor 2 and 4. A church is accessible for free from the ground.

Nice view! Would recommend getting there early if you wish to avoid crowds. The viewing area is rather narrow. The ticket was 6€ and it included the visit to the museum. Would definitely recommend

Very nice monument. Lots to see related to church and cleric. We can go up the tower all the way and enjoy the view. Some waiting times but it's worth the wait

Torre dos Clérigos

La città che ho scelto per festeggiare i miei 30. Un gioiellino dove il divertimento non manca e il vino neppure! Ma non solo bagordi, i monumenti da visitare sono numerosi e tutti indimenticabili.
